WIP: Boeing B 17F Flying Fortress 1/72 Parte 5

Olá! Hello!

Voltando ao B-17F da Academy e apresentando alguns avanços, finalmente!

No último post apresentei a parte interna com diversas melhorias e para finalizar tudo que preciso para fechar a fuselagem ainda faltava a torre inferior, que foi montada, lixada e mascarada. Trabalho bem complicado de se fazer.

Returning to the Academy's B-17F and presenting some advances, finally!

In the last post I showed the internal part with several improvements and to finish everything that I need to glue the fuselage still lacked the inferior tower, that was assembled, sanded and masked. It's a very complicated job to do.

Como os pneus que vem no kit são muito simples, resolvi buscar uma alternativa em resina. Os escolhidos foram esses modelos do True Details. Com certeza vai dar um toque especial no kit depois de pronto!
As the tires that come in the kit are very simple, I decided to look for a resin alternative. The chosen ones were these True Details set. It will add a special touch to the kit for sure!

Nas asas, abri as entradas de ar que a Academy representa fechadas e resolvi também colocar as entradas de ar dos radiadores dos motores que o kit simplesmente não trás. O trabalho foi abrir orifícios no local adequado, preencher com Epoxi Putty e começar o trabalho de esculpir esses detalhes (falta muito ainda).
In the wings, I opened the air intakes that the Academy represents closed and I also decided to put the air intakes of the radiators of the engines that the kit simply does not have. The job was to open holes in the proper place, fill with Epoxy Putty and start the work of carving out these details (much still to be done).

Finalmente consegui fechar as duas metades da fuselagem, e deu trabalho! Claro que todo o novo "recheio" que coloquei no kit contribuiu para que as peças não tenham um encaixe perfeito, mas creio que o kit também não ajuda muito!
I finally managed to close the two halves of the fuselage, and it was a dreadful work! Of course, all the new parts I put inside the kit contributed to the parts not having a perfect fit, but I think the kit does not help too much!

Muito trabalho com putty e lixa pela frente!

Bem, ainda tem bastante coisa para fazer no kit, sem contar que tenho ainda que finalizar as asas e ainda resolver o problema do diedro das mesmas, que nesse kit está completamente incorreto!
Well, there is still many things to do on the kit, not to mention that I still have to finish the wings and solve the dihedral problem of them, which in this kit is completely wrong!
