LIVRO: Endurance - Scott Kelly

Olá pessoal! Hello guys!

Mais uma dica de leitura por aqui! Desta vez o livro “Endurance – um ano no espaço” do astronauta americano Scott Kelly. Achei esse livro no “balaio dos saldos” na feira do livro de Porto Alegre, o mesmo é editado pela Intrínseca no Brasil e tem 368 paginas, com algumas fotos ilustrativas.

Paguei apenas R$10,00 por esse livro e foi de longe o grande achado na feira do ano passado. 

O livro é muito interessante, onde Kelly conta sua história desde a infância até a idade adulta enquanto narra sua viagem de 365 dias na EEI. Para nós amantes da aviação a leitura é ainda mais interessante pois em várias passagens o autor descreve os aviões que pilotou, incluindo algumas passagens no F-14 Tomcat! 

Scott Kelly foi piloto da marinha americana, e também piloto de testes em Patuxent River andes de ir para a NASA. O mais interessante é que ele tem um irmão gêmeo que também foi piloto da Navy e astronauta na NASA!

Enfim, o livro é muito legal, recomendo muito para aqueles que curtem aviação e espaço. São muito interessantes e engraçadas as peculiaridades da vida no espaço e as diferenças entre a NASA e a agência cosmonáutica Russa.

One more reading tip here! This time the book “Endurance” by american astronaut Scott Kelly. I found this book at “sale” at the Porto Alegre book fair. It is edited by Intrinsic in Brazil and has 368 pages, with some illustrative photos.

I only paid like US$2,00 for this book and it was by far the biggest bargain for me at last year's fair.

The book is very interesting, where Kelly tells his story from childhood to adult age, while narrating his 365 days on the ISS. For us aviation lovers, reading it is even more interesting, as the authors describes the many planes they fly, including some passages on the F-14 Tomcat!

Scott Kelly was a pilot in the US Navy, and also a test pilot on the Patuxent River and went to NASA. The most interesting thing is that he has a twin brother who was also a Navy pilot and an astronaut at NASA!

Anyway, the book is very cool, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes aviation and space. It is very interesting and funny as peculiarities of life in space and differences between NASA and a Russian cosmonautic agency.
