REVIEW: Compressores Manzara Compressors

Como todos sabem sou um entusiasta de aerógrafos e tenho alguns na minha coleção, tanto nacionais quanto importados. Embora essa não seja uma ferramenta essencial para o hobby, é uma ferramenta que muitas vezes facilita em muito o nosso trabalho.
Mas, talvez até mais importante que a qualidade do aerógrafo, é a qualidade do nosso compressor. É aqui que a coisa fica mais complexa e o resultado é diretamente afetado. 
As you all know, I am an airbrush enthusiast and I have some in my collection, both national and imported. Although this is not an essential tool for the hobby, it is a tool that often makes our job much easier.
But, perhaps even more important than the quality of the airbrush is the quality of our air compressor. This is where it gets more complex and the result is directly affected.

Eu comecei a usar compressores pequenos, esses portáteis que são muito práticos e baratos e vendidos aos montes na internet. 
I started using small compressors, these portable ones that are very practical, cheap and sold a lot on the internet.

Depois passei para um compressor maior, mas de ar direto, com a possibilidade de ajuste de fluxo de ar, como esse acima.
Then I moved to a larger compressor, but with direct air, with the possibility of adjusting the air flow like this one above.

Por fim optei por um compressor maior, com acumulador de ar (tanque). Nesse caso, as opções de produtos no mercado são grandes, mas como eu precisava de silêncio, pois moro em um apartamento, a escolha recaiu sobre os compressores com motores de geladeira.
Finally I opted for a larger compressor, with an air accumulator (tank). In this case, the products options on the market are huge, but as I needed silence, and I live in an apartment, the choice fell on compressors with refrigerator motors.

Depois de analisar alguns fabricantes no mercado brasileiro que constroem esse tipo de compressor, pois eles são produtos mais específicos e feitos quase artesanalmente, eu optei pelo modelo MK.V da Manzara Compressores. 
A Manzara fica no estado do Rio Grande do Sul e fabrica esses equipamentos faz mais de 15 anos. Conheço diversos colegas modelistas que usam esse equipamento e não raro o tem por mais de 10 anos sem apresentar qualquer problema. Inclusive nosso clube de modelismo tem dois desses em uso e eu estou usando o meu faz mais de 6 meses e gostando muito.

After analyzing some manufacturers in the Brazilian market that build this type of compressor, as they are more specific products and made almost by hand, I opted for the MK.V model from Manzara Compressores.
Manzara has been manufacturing this equipment for over 15 years. I know several fellow modelers who use this equipment and often have more than 10 years without any problem. Even our modelling club has two of these in use and I have been using mine for more than 6 months and I am loving it.

Mas qual a vantagem deste tipo de compressor? Primeiro, e o principal para mim, é o baixo nível de ruído, depois a possibilidade de poder regular corretamente o fluxo de ar e não ter variações no mesmo. Isso faz uma enorme diferença quando se precisa pintar pequenos detalhes. Além de que, dependendo o tamanho do modelo, você pode pintar somente com o ar armazenado no tanque, sem precisar ligar o motor novamente!
But what is the advantage of this kind of air compressor? First and most important for me is the low noise level, then the possibility of being able to properly regulate the air flow and not have variations in it. This feature make a big diference when you are painting small details. Besides, depending on the size of the model, you can paint just the air stored in the tank, without having to start the engine again!
