WIP: Boeing B 17F Flying Fortress 1/72 Parte 7

O trabalho no B-17 segue, com a etapa de lixamento e mascaramento das transparências (haja paciência).
Keep going with the work on the B-17, with sanding and masking the transparencies (where I used all my patience).

Depois da torreta inferior, a superior com certeza é a mais complicada. Ainda faltam todas as janelas e escotilhas da fuselagem.
After the lower turret, the upper turret is certainly the most complicated. Still missing are all the windows and fuselage hatches.

Uma coisa que me dei conta somente agora é que a versão do B-17 que a Academy apresenta no kit é posterior ao "Memphis Belle", com um visor em formato de bolha sobre o nariz! Esse visor não era padrão para as versões iniciais da Fortaleza Voadora da versão F, aparecendo nos lotes posteriores.
One thing I just noticed now is that the B-17 version that Academy features in the kit comes after the "Memphis Belle," with a bubble-shaped visor over the nose! This display was not standard for the early versions of the Flying Fortress version F, appearing in later batches.

Para atenuar a "culpa" da Academy, o kit traz os decais do B-17F "Miss Ouachita" que nesse caso sim, tem a bolha no nariz, que se chamava "Astro Compass Bubble".
To minimize Academy's "fault" the kit features the B-17F's "Miss Ouachita" decals, which in this case have the bubble in the nose, which was called "Astro Compass Bubble".

Como quero montar o mítico "Memphis Belle" a única alternativa é eliminar a bolha, colocar um inserto de poliestireno no local e fazer as escotilhas em scratch. Infelizmente esse erro não é nem mencionado nas instruções e seria facilmente corrigido com um rebaixo para abrir as janelas e a informação necessária.

Since I want to build the mythical "Memphis Belle" the only alternative is to eliminate the bubble, put a polystyrene insert on place and make the hatches in scratch. Unfortunately this error is neither mentioned in the instructions and would be easily fixed with a recess to open the windows and the necessary information.
