REVIEW: Aoshima Kawasaki KI-100 type 5 1/72

Trazendo mais um review no blog, desta vez deste kit um pouco raro da Aoshima, a versão "razorback" do Ki 100.
Bringing one more review on the blog, this time this "almost" rare kit from Aoshima, the "razorback" version of the Ki 100.

Esse kit foi lançado em 2014 e tem alguns "rebox" desde então. creio que essa seja uma das últimas caixas do mesmo. Eu tenho o antigo Ki-100 com cockpit tipo bolha da própria Aoshima, então foi uma tentação quando achei esse kit perdido em um a loja.
This kit was released in 2014 and has some rebox since then. I think this is one of the last boxes of it. I have the old Ki-100 bubble canopy from Aoshima's, so it was a temptation when I found this lost kit in a store.

As instruções são do estilo japonês, bem simples, em uma folha frente e verso e P&B.

The instructions are very simple, Japanese style, on a double-sided sheet and B&W.

Os decais são bem impressos, com alguns stencils e inclusive decais que provavelmente fiquem melhor pintados, como os bordos de ataque em amarelo. Interessante que as instruções para a pintura não revelam nada sobre a unidade ou período que o avião operou! Mas dando uma pesquisa descobri que se trata de uma máquina do 59th Sentai, Defesa das Ilhas do Japão, Base de Ashiya, Fukuoka em meados de 1945.
The decals are well printed, with some stencils and decals which are likely to be better painted, such as the wings yellow leading edges. Interesting that the instructions for painting reveals nothing about the unit or time period of the plane! But researching a little I found that the machine was a fighter from the 59th Sentai, Japanese Island Home Defense, Ashiya Airbase, Fukuoka in mid-1945.

O kit em sí é constituido de 5 sprues, sendo dois com as metades das asa e da fuselagem. O terceiro e quarto traz todos os detalhes do modelo e o quinto sprue é o das transparências.

The kit itself consists of 5 sprues, two with the wing and fuselage halves. The third and fourth brings all the details of the model and the fifth sprue is the transparency.

A injeção é muito boa, sem nenhuma rebarba, algumas marcas de extração, mas que não chegam a atrapalhar. O nível de detalhe do kit é bem bom, e as linhas em baixo relevo são bem feitas, me lembrando os novos kits da Airfix, embora sejam mais sutis. Com certeza é um kit bem legal para se ter na coleção.

The injection is very good, without any flashes, some extraction marks, but they don't are too bad. The level of detail of the kit is quite good, and the engraved lines are well made, reminding me of the new Airfix kits, although they are more subtle. It sure is a very cool kit to have in the collection.
