Vamos continuar com a montagem do Hurricane MK I Trop! Muita coisa para atualizar e apresentar aqui!

No ultimo post já tínhamos fechado as asas mas ainda ficou faltando a fuselagem. Achei essa parte da montagem muito fácil, com o kit apresentando bons encaixes na parte de cima e no cockpit. Pontos para a Airfix!

In the last post we had already closed the wings but the fuselage was still missing. I found this part of the assembly very easy, with the kit showing good fits at the top and in the cockpit. Points for Airfix!

A surpresa ruim ficou por conta da parte inferior do nariz e o encaixe com as asas. Aqui o kit apresenta sérios problemas de alinhamento. Como essa parte, onde fica encaixado o filtro tropical "Vokes", é separada da fuselagem principal se faz necessário cortar essa ultima e substituir por outra peça.

The bad surprise was the underside of the nose and the fitting with the wings. Here the kit has serious alignment problems. As this part, where the "Vokes" tropical filter is fitted, is separated from the main fuselage, it is necessary to cut this last one and replace it with another part.

Exatamente nessa troca onde ocorre o problema, com frestas e falta de alinhamento. Creio que no kit da versão MK I sem o filtro isso não venha a ocorrer?

Exactly in this exchange where the problem occurs, with gaps and lack of alignment. I believe that in the MK I version kit without the filter this will not happen?

Solução? Muita massa e lixa no local, não teve jeito de alinhar sem ficar com alguma fresta ou desnível.

Solution? Lots of putty and sanding in place, there was no way to align without getting a gap.

Depois dos detalhes de funilaria finalizados, podemos passar para o primer preto da AK e começar a pintura com a cor base Alumínio AMIG0194 da AMMO by Mig.

After the bodywork details are finished, we can move on to AK's black primer and start painting with AMMO by Mig Aluminum AMIG0194 base color.

Observando as imagens da internet podemos ver que algumas placas da fuselagem e das asas não eram da cor Alumínio. Por isso mascarei alguns pontos e use a cor Silver AMIG0195 da AMMO by Mig.

Looking at the internet images we can see that some fuselage and wing panels were not matt aluminum color. So I mask some points and use the AMMO by Mig Silver AMIG0195 color for it.

Ainda fiz alguns retoques e sombreados usando a cor Polished Metal AMIG 0192 da AMMO by Mig, isso torna a pintura mais realista trazendo movimento e profundidade para os detalhes do kit.

I also did some retouching and shading using AMMO by Mig's Polished Metal AMIG 0192 color, this makes the painting more realistic bringing movement and depth to the details of the kit.

No capo do motor esse Hurricane era pintado com um preto "antirreflexo", aproveitei a oportunidade para fazer a área "antiderrapante" nas raízes das asas e o "spinner" e as hélices.

On the engine hood this Hurricane was painted with an "anti-glare" black, I took the opportunity to make the "anti-slip" area on the wing roots and the "spinner" and propellers too.

Nesses locais resolvi fazer o efeito de descascados com o fluido "Heavy Chipping Effect" AMIG2011 da Ammo. Ficou muito bom, ressaltando áreas com maior uso devido a ser uma aeronave de uso intenso em treinamento e condições difíceis no sul da África. Lembrando que o "Spinner" deste avião não é originalmente vermelho, mas foi um pedido do dono do kit e também que essa versão do Hurricane usava hélices de metal no lugar das tradicionais de madeira.

In these places I tried to make the chipping effect with the fluid "Heavy Chipping Effect" AMIG2011 from Ammo. It was very good, highlighting areas with greater use due to being an aircraft with intensive use in training and difficult conditions in southern Africa. Remembering that the "Spinner" of this plane is not originally red, but was a request from the kit owner. Another thing is that also this version of the Hurricane used metal propellers instead of the traditional wooden ones.

Próximo passo usei verniz X-22 da Tamiya, apliquei os decais, washes e mais alguns detalhes de envelhecimento. Kit praticamente pronto! Mas...

Next step I used Tamiya's X-22 varnish, applied decals, washes and some more weathering details. Model is practically ready! But...

Faltando somente montar algumas peças para terminar o kit foi abatido pela flak!!!! Fez um voo Kamikase da minha bancada até o chão! Tudo porque um quadro que fica ao lado da bancada soltou e derrubou grande parte do que eu estava trabalhando! Desespero! Raiva! 

Mas felizmente como o Hurricane sempre foi um avião que aguentava bem os danos de batalha consegui reparar tudo, com algum trabalho. No próximo post as fotos finais!

Missing only a few pieces to assemble, to finish the kit, it was shot down by flak!!!! It made a Kamikase flight from my bench to the floor! All because a framed poster fell down on the side of the workbench and dropped a lot of what I was working on! Despair! Anger!

But luckily as the Hurricane was always a plane that took a lot of damage from battle and keep flying, I managed to repair everything, with some work. In the next post the final photos!
