REVIEW: Aerógrafo Airtex Beauty 4 Airbrush

Tenho alguns reviews de aerógrafos aqui no blog, a maioria deles de equipamentos de uso próprio. Vários desses reviews geram comentários e perguntas dos leitores, principalmente iniciantes em aerografia.
I have some airbrush reviews here on the blog, most of them of own use. Several of these reviews generate comments and questions from readers, especially beginners in airbrushing.
Recentemente recebi uma pergunta comparando o aerógrafos Airtex e Gatti. E sinceramente nem conhecia a marca Airtex, de forma que não pude dar meu testemunho do produto. Fiquei curioso e fui procurar mais informações da marca e me deparei com esse vídeo abaixo do meu amigo André, do Canal André Grafia. Aproveito para indicar o canal dele, que tem muita coisa legal.
I recently received a question comparing the Airtex and other airbrushes. And honestly I didn't even know the Airtex brand, so I couldn't give my testimony of the product. I was curious and went to look for more information about the brand and I came across this video below of my friend André, from Canal André Graphy. I take the opportunity to indicate his channel, which has a lot of cool stuff.
After watching the video, I was impressed with two things, the apparent quality of the equipment and its similarity to Harden & Steenbeck products. Looking on the internet about Airtex I found some interesting things. It is a Japanese company with 20 years in the market, producing and selling products related to air compressors and airbrushes, and since 2000 it has been the official representative of H&S in Japan. Is that why the products are similar?
A agulha é bem polida e tem um ângulo de apontamento mais raso, o que facilita muito o controle na variação de traços mais finos ou grossos. Podemos ver abaixo que na pintura o desempenho é muito bom, comparável ao meu Sparmax. Consegue fazer linhas finas e precisas, com over spray pequeno. A atomização é boa, não ficando muito longe de outros aerógrafos.
Pesquisando na internet descobri que os aerógrafos da marca são bem cotados no exterior, tendo inclusive o modelo Airtex Selphy algumas avaliações muito boas. O modelo Beauty 4 é voltado para o mercado de maquiagem, mas também indicado para modelismo, sendo produzido em Taiwan, inclusive alguns fóruns citando que são feitos pela fábrica da Sparmax.
Researching on the internet I found out that the brand's airbrushes are well rated abroad, including the Airtex Selphy model with some very good reviews. The Beauty 4 model is aimed ot the makeup market, but also for model making, being produced in Taiwan, including some forums citing that they are made by the Sparmax factory.
No mesmo dia da pesquisa, me deparei com esse aerógrafo sendo vendido em uma loja online brasileira de produtos para maquiagem com preço absurdamente barato (acima). Principalmente se comparado com os preços que encontrei lá fora (abaixo).
On the same day of the survey, I came across with this airbrush being sold in a Brazilian online store of makeup products at an absurdly cheap price (above). Mainly compared to the prices I found abroad (below).
Não tive como deixar passar essa liquidação e paguei menos de R$300,00 em um produto que custa em torno de US$90,00 no exterior! Cheguei a comentar isso em alguns grupos de plastimodelismo também. E mesmo sendo um aerógrafo para o mercado de maquiagem, serve bem para o plastimodelismo, inclusive ele vem em várias cores diferentes, mas na promoção só tinha o vermelho o e roxo.
I was unable to pass this sale and paid less than R $ 300.00 for a product that costs around US $ 90.00 abroad! I even commented on this in some plastic model groups as well. And even though it is an airbrush for the makeup market, it is good for modeling, including it comes in several different colors, but in the store sale there was only in red or purple.
Mas vamos ao review! O produto vem bem embalado em uma caixa de papel cartão, bem impressa, com as informações sobre o produto em uma etiqueta na parte frontal. Ou seja, o meu é um Beauty 4, cor "passion", agulha 0,2mm e copo de 2cc.
But let's go to the review! The product comes well packed in a well-printed cardboard box with information about the product on the front. In other words, mine is a Beauty 4, color "passion", 0.2mm needle and 2cc cup.
Dentro da caixa de papel ainda tem uma caixa plástica, bem reforçada, com berços de EVA e uma chave para manutenção do equipamento. Na minha peça não veio manual original, mas sim um traduzido pelo distribuidor.
Inside the paper box there is also a plastic box, well reinforced, with EVA cradles and a small tool for maintaining the equipment. In my piece there was no original manual, but one translated by the distributor.
O Beauty 4 é um aerógrafo muito bonito, que tem versões com agulhas 0.3, 0.4 e copos maiores. O principal diferencial do produto, além das cores e do desenho, é o corpo todo em alumínio, como o H&S Evolution AL. Outra característica é o copo rosqueado, que pode ser trocado para modelos maiores.
The Beauty 4 is a very beautiful airbrush, which has versions with 0.3, 0.4 and larger paint cups. The main differential of the product, in addition to the colors and design, is the all aluminum body, such as the H&S Evolution AL. Another feature is the threaded cup, which can be exchanged for larger models.
Como praticamente toda a estrutura externa é de alumínio, ele é muito leve, mesmo! E essa é a principal vantagem desse aerógrafo, tem uma ergonomia muito boa, muito leve para pintar e para quem faz sessões longas de pintura certamente é um ponto positivo.
As almost all the external structure is made of aluminum, it is very light, really is! And that is the main advantage of this airbrush, it has a very good ergonomics, very light to paint and for those who do long painting sessions it is certainly a positive point.
Na minha opinião o gatilho fica um pouco longe do bico, o que dificulta um pouco para detalhes menores, mas facilita muito para uso em áreas maiores e faz com que a pegada fique mais equilibrada. Acho que para mãos grandes deve ficar muito bom de usar também.
In my opinion the trigger is a little far from the nozzle, which makes it a little difficult for smaller details, but makes it much easier to use in larger areas and makes the grip more balanced. I think for big hands it should be very good to use too.
A desmontagem segue o padrão da maioria dos aerógrafos do mercado e é aí que as maiores diferenças para os H&S aparecem. Ou seja, externamente e até algumas peças internas são parecidas, mas não passa disso. A principal diferença, na minha opinião, são todas as peças do bico da agulha que são muito parecidas com aerógrafos japoneses e taiwaneses mas não tem nada a ver com os Harden&Steenbeck.
Disassembly follows the pattern of most airbrushes on the market and this is where the biggest differences from H&S appear. That is, externally and even some internal parts are similar, but it is only that. The main difference, in my opinion, are the needle tip pieces that are very similar to Japanese and Taiwanese airbrushes but have nothing to do with Harden & Steenbeck.
De qualquer forma isso não quer dizer que o Airtex não seja muito bem construído, é sim um produto de boa qualidade, com peças bem cromadas e bom acabamento. Gostei também do aperto e ajustes das roscas. As vedações existentes me parecem ser de teflon de boa qualidade.
Anyway, this does not mean that the Airtex is not very well built, it is a good quality product, with well chromed parts and a good finish. I also liked the tightness and adjustments of the threads. The existing seals seem to me to be of good quality teflon.
The needle is well polished and has a shallower pointing angle, which makes it much easier to control the variation of thinner or thicker strokes. We can see below that in painting the performance is very good, comparable to my Sparmax. Can make fine and precise lines with a small over spray. The atomization is good, not far from other airbrushes.
Minhas únicas observações ao produto são: corpo em alumínio, apesar de ser leve é bem mais frágil que de aço/latão, o que requer maiores cuidados. O gatilho me pareceu muito folgado, poderia ser mais preciso no movimento, mas não atrapalha. Por último, o copo com rosca é um pouco problemático de limpar, embora o encaixe seja bom, eu não gostei muito desta característica.
My only observations about the product are: aluminum body, despite being light, is much more fragile than steel / brass, which requires greater care. The trigger seemed very loose to me, it could be more precise in the movement. Finally, the threaded cup is a little problematic to clean, although the fit is good, I didn't like this feature very much.
Para concluir, agora posso responder a pergunta do leitor, creio que o Gatti e o Airtex Beauty 4 sejam produtos para usos e usuários diferentes. Se você procura algo mais confortável ou se preocupa com a ergonomia da ferramenta, aposto no Airtex como a melhor opção. Agora, se a questão é precisão no traço, assistência técnica e peças fáceis de encontrar o Gatti sai ganhando. De qualquer maneira é um produto comparável aos aerógrafos da linha da Sparmax na minha opinião. Ou seja, é um bom produto com certeza.
To conclude, I can now answer the reader's question, I believe that other airbrushes like Sparmax and Airtex Beauty 4 are very similar. If you are looking for something more comfortable or are concerned with the ergonomics of the tool, I bet on Airtex as the best option. Anyway it is a product comparable to the airbrushes of the Sparmax line in my opinion. So, it is a good product for sure.

ResponderExcluirÉ eu tenho um Airtex desse e ele faz traços bem mais finos, talvez por você trabalhar com modelismo e no meu caso aerografia tenha que explorar mais a ferramenta. tenta tirar a proteção e trabalhar entre 10 e 15 libras.
