Vamos para a segunda parte do artigo sobre pincéis para modelismo (Link da primeira parte ) e como prometido, agora vamos falar sobre o hobby especificamente, analisando marcas, tipos de pincéis e técnicas utilizadas.

Quais as marcas tem pinceis para modelismo?
Quanto a marcas, vamos destacar algumas existentes no mercado, entre elas algumas são especializadas na fabricação de pincéis e outras que são marcas de insumos para plastimodelismo ou miniaturas.

Não podemos deixar de falar da Games Workshop - Citadel, que tem uma linha completa de pincéis para pintura de figuras e outras modalidades de modelismo. Talvez seja a marca mais conhecida quando falamos em pintura de "miniaturas" e figuras.
Outro nome conhecido é a BrokenToad que é especializada na fabricação de pincéis para modelismo. A série MK3, tanto naturais quanto sintéticos são referência.

Quais pincéis preciso para modelismo?
Quais os tipos de pincéis mais utilizados? Quais as técnicas podemos usar? Pensando nisso vou falar sobre os tipos mais comuns que usamos no dia a dia nas nossas bancadas. Sempre lembrando que existem fios mais duros e mais macios, mais curtos ou compridos que podem variar a técnica a ser aplicada. Além disso, o tamanho do pincel vai depender também da técnica e da escala no modelo.

Pincéis Chatos
É o melhor pincel para pintar grandes áreas planas, então é uma ferramenta essencial para várias etapas de pintura, quando é necessário pintar de forma uniforme. Além dessa função, os pincéis chatos podem ser usados para dry brush, mesclados, escorridos (angulado) ou filtros. 
O pincel chato angulado, é ainda mais versátil, pois proporciona um excelente controle na definição de áreas, algo muito útil para usar com óleos, pigmentos e filtros. Com este pincel poderá cobrir grandes áreas e ainda realçar pequenos detalhes.
Os pincéis tipo Língua de gato são usados ​​para misturar as diferentes camadas de tinta de forma suave e sem marcas. 
O que preciso para iniciar?

Flat brushes
It's the best brush for painting large flat areas, so it's an essential tool for many painting steps when you need to paint evenly. In addition to this function, flat brushes can be used for dry brushing, blending, flowing (angled) or filters.
The flat angled brush is even more versatile as it provides excellent control in defining areas, which is very useful for using with oils, pigments and filters. With this brush you'll be able to cover large areas and even highlight small details.
Filbert brushes are used to blend the different layers of paint smoothly and without streaks.

Pincéis Redondos 
São usados para todos os tipos de detalhes ou áreas maiores em superfícies complexas, como as figuras. O tamanho da ponta e da cerda é muito importante pelos diferentes tipos de aplicações onde podem ser utilizados. Os pinceis com cerdas curtas e finas são ideais para pequenos detalhes, já os com ponta fina cerda longa são voltados para pintura onde se requer precisao em áreas maiores. Podem ser usadas para aplicar lavagens, filtros, pigmentos, respingos etc.
O que preciso para iniciar? 
Você pode comprar um pincel redondo sintético/natural dos tamanhos: 000, 00, 0 and 2.
Round brushes
They are used for all kinds of details or larger areas on complex surfaces such as figures. The size of the tip and bristle is very important due to the different types of applications where they can be used. Brushes with short and fine bristles are ideal for small details, while those with fine tip long bristles are intended for painting where precision is required in larger areas. Can be used to apply washes, filters, pigments, splashes etc.
What do I need to get started?
You can buy a synthetic/natural round brush of the sizes:000, 00, 0 and 2.

Outros
O tipo Leque pode ser usado para pigmento secos, misturas de pigmentos e principalmente para remover o excesso destes. Também pode ser utilizado para fazer efeitos com tinta óleo como madeira ou texturas.
Formato Serrilhado é utilizado para fazer escorridos com tintas óleos, washes ou pigmentos. O serrilhado é excelente para fazer linhas irregulares e obter um acabamento mais realista.
O Pituá é um pincel especial para dry brush. Recomendado para bases, dioramas, figuras, trilhas, etc.
O que preciso para iniciar? 
Esses pincéis não são necessários para iniciar, então deixe para comprar depois que você estiver dominando os demais.


Others
Fan can be used for dry pigment, pigment blends and mainly to remove excess pigment. It can also be used to make effects with oil paint such as wood or textures.
Rake is used to drain with oil paints, washes or pigments. It is great for making irregular lines and achieving a more realistic finish.
Stencil is a special brush for dry brush. Recommended for bases, dioramas, figures, tracks, etc.
What do I need to get started?
These brushes aren't necessary to get started, so save them after you've mastered the others.
