Colônia, Alemanha,1945: Duelo de tanques na Catedral - Cologne, Germany 1945: Tanks duel

Olá pessoal!

Dois anos atrás pude visitar a cidade de Colônia na Alemanha e a sua fantástica Catedral, que se destaca como principal atração da cidade.

Pois um tempo depois desta primeira visita acabei achando o vídeo acima e pesquisando mais sobre a Batalha de Colônia, que foi a maior cidade liberada pelos americanos na IIGM.
Two years ago I visited the city of Cologne in Germany and its fantastic cathedral, which stands out as the main attraction of the city.
For some time after this first visit I ended up finding the video above and researching more about the Battle of Cologne, which was the largest city released by the Americans in the WWII.

Como destaque, e tema do vídeo, o combate entre um Panther e dois Shermans e um Pershing nas ruas que cerca a catedral. 

Como estive novamente por lá esse ano, não pude deixar de ir até a frente da catedral e tirar algumas fotos.

As a highlight, and video theme, the fight between a Panther and two Shermans and a Pershing in the streets surrounding the cathedral.

As I was there again this year, I had to go to the front of the cathedral and taking some photos.

Acima, as imagens mais ou menos do ponto onde o Panther estava estacionado e onde foi atingido pelo Pershing.

Nesta vista acima, a visão do Panther em direção a Rua Marzellen onde o Pershing estava localizado e atirou no Panther. Alguns prédios ainda são sobreviventes da guerra.

Aqui outra vista da Rua Komodien, onde o Panther abateu um dos Shermans. Ele estava a mais ou menos uns 200 metros de distância.

Abaixo, uma foto para marcar a presença na frente do "Koln Don", que é como os habitantes de Colônia chamam a catedral. Nos próximos posts, vou mostrar uma visita a uma loja de plastimodelismo na cidade.

Here another view of Komodien Street, where Panther shot down one of the Shermans. It was about 200 meters away.

Below is a photo to mark the presence in front of the "Koln Don", which is how the inhabitants of Cologne call the cathedral. In the next posts, I'll show you a visit to a model shop in the city.
