WIP: A-4C Skyhawk Fujimi 1/72 Parte 1

Olá Amigos! Hello!

Já que a montagem do B-17 da Academy se arrasta devido aos problemas do kit, resolvi retomar minha coleção de Scooters! Desta vez vou montar o A-4C Skyhawk do clássico kit da japonesa Fujimi.

Since the Academy's B-17 build is dragging due to the kit's problems, I decided to take back my Scooters collection! This time I'll start the A-4C Skyhawk from the classic Japanese Fujimi kit.

Esse é o único kit na escala 1/72 da versão "C" do Skyhawk e hoje em dia é um pouco difícil de achar. O meu comprei de um modelista que estava vendendo seu estoque, e não foi muito barato! Mas vale a pena.

This is the only kit on the 1/72 scale of the "C" version of the Skyhawk, and nowadays it's a little hard to find. I bought it from a modeler who was selling his stock, and it was not very cheap! But it's worth.

O kit é bem moldado, com muito poucas rebarbas e bem detalhado. Além de tudo oferece uma folha de decais bem variada, com 6 opções de pintura.
The kit is well molded, with very few flash and well detailed. Besides, it offers a very varied sheet of decals, with 6 options.

Creio que o maior problema do kit é sua engenharia, que prioriza o intercâmbio entre as árvores para possibilitar a montagem de diferentes versões do Skyhawk. Isso faz com que os encaixes, principalmente da seção do nariz e da fuselagem sejam bem complicadas, como veremos em seguida.
I think the biggest problem of the kit is its engineering, which prioritizes the interchange between the trees to enable the assembly of different versions of the Skyhawk. This makes the fittings, especially of the nose section and the fuselage very complicated, as we will see next.

O processo de montagem começa pelas partes internas, ou seja, o cockpit e a entrada de ar do motor. O cockpit é bem detalhado e inclusive o kit tem a opção de utilizar decais para os instrumentos, que já estão em alto relevo.
The assembly process begins with the internal parts, ie the cockpit and the engine air intake.
The cockpit is very detailed and even has the option of using decals for the instruments, which are already moulded.

Como considerei os detalhes do painel bem feitos, resolvi não usar os decais. Os cintos de segurança foram feitos com fita Tamiya, já que os que vem gravados no assento é bem ruim.
As I considered the details of the panel well done, I decided not to use the decals. The safety belts were made with Tamiya tape, since those that are engraved in the seat is very bad.

Depois da pintura e weathering prontos, colamos o cockpit no nariz do Skyhawk. 

After the painting and weathering ready, I put the cockpit into place.

Sem esquecer dos pesos para manter o nariz no chão e mais alguns detalhes no interior do cockpit.

Without forget the weight to keep the plane right on the groung and some details inside the cockpit.

O passo seguinte é juntar as duas metades traseiras da fuselagem e adicionar a entrada de ar do motor.
Next step is put the two halves of the fuselage and add the engine intake.

E o Scooter começa a tomar forma! Fuselagem traseira montada e asas no lugar. Já começo a me preocupar com os frestas que terei que arrumar.
And the Scooter starts to take shape! Rear fuselage mounted and wings in place. I'm already worried about the gaps I'll have to fill.

A próxima etapa é a união da parte frontal e traseira da fuselagem.
Next move is gluing the front and back fuselage.

É aí que começam a aparecer os problemas do kit da Fujimi. Como esse kit foi projetado para fazer diferentes versões do Skyhawk, a parte traseira e frontal da fuselagem estão em árvores diferentes, visto que as principais mudanças no caça ao longo dos anos é no nariz.
This is where the problems of the Fujimi kit begin to appear. As this kit was designed to make different versions of the Skyhawk, the rear and front fuselage are in different trees, since the main changes on the Skyhawk over the years are in the nose.

Como resultado da escolha do fabricante, vamos ter que preencher muitas frestas com putty.
As a result of the kit design let's fill some gaps with putty.

Pelo menos, terminei o cockpit, adicionei um visor de tiro no painel e vamos seguir em frente.
At least I finished the cockpit and add a gun sight, let's move on.
