REVIEW: Aerógrafo Badger 100 Airbrush

Depois de algum tempo, voltamos com mais um review de aerógrafo! E de um equipamento que tinha muita curiosidade para usar e já sou fã! Nada mais nada menos e o Badger 100! Talvez um dos aerógrafos mais conhecidos entre plastimodelistas e artistas.
After some time, we are back with another airbrush review! And a equipment that I was very curious to use and I'm already a fan! Nothing less than the Badger 100! Perhaps one of the best known airbrushes among plastic modelers and artists.
Faz bastante tempo que estava querendo comprar um Badger e esse modelo 100 acabou surgindo em um grupo de vendas e aproveitei a chance!
I've been wanting to buy a Badger for a long time and this model 100 ended up appearing in a sales group and I took the chance!
O modelo 100 é um clássico entre os diversos modelos da marca. O meu é uma versão mais antiga, tendo uns 10 anos de uso, segundo o antigo dono. Mas ele estava muito bem conservado, funcionando perfeitamente. Precisei fazer apenas uma revisão mais detalhada para sair pintando.
Model 100 is a classic among the various models of the brand. Mine is an older version, having about 10 years of use, according to the former owner. But it was very well maintained, working perfectly. I just needed to do a more detailed cleaning to start painting.
O Badger 100G é um aerógrafo desenhado para detalhes, pois tem um copo pequeno de 2ml e o meu tem uma agulha F (fine), que segundo algumas fontes tem cerca de 0,25-0,30mm.
Badger 100G is an airbrush designed for details, as it has a small 2ml cup and mine has an F (fine) needle, which according to some sources is about 0.25-0.30mm.
Esse aerógrafo pode receber agulhas mais grossas, com marcações M (medium) e H (Heavy), trocando o bico correspondente.
This airbrush can receive thicker needles, with markings M (medium) and H (Heavy), changing the corresponding nozzle.
Acho que a parte mais interessante dos Badger é a robustez do conjunto bico/capa/agulha. São peças bem feitas e mais fortes que estamos acostumados nos aerógrafos japoneses/chineses por exemplo.
I think the most interesting part of the Badger is the robustness of the nozzle/cap/needle. They are well made and stronger pieces than that we are used to in Japanese/Chinese airbrushes, for example.
Vejo alguns comentários que o acabamento das peças (roscas, cromo, niquelado) dos Badger não são tão bons quanto dos produtos japoneses. Creio que isso pode ser verdade, mas como esse que tenho que é mais antigo, tem um acabamento muito bom, não devendo muito para as principais marcas existentes no mercado.
I see some comments that the finish of the parts (threads, chrome, nickel-plated) of Badgers are not as good as those of Japanese products. I believe this may be true, but with this one that I have, which is older, it has a good finish, not owing much to the main brands on the market.
Nos testes de pintura, achei o resultado bom, tendo em conta a idade do aerógrafo, principalmente. Não creio que seja o meu melhor aerógrafo, mas está na média. Tem um bom traço fino, sem falhas e uma boa atomização. Somente um pouco de "over spray" é visível no teste.
In the painting tests, I found the result to be good, especially considering the age of the airbrush. I don't think it's my best airbrush, but it's average. It has a good fine flawless stroke and good atomization. Only a little "over spray" is visible in the test.
Para finalizar, não tenho como não recomendar o Badger 100G, afinal é um clássico, tem bom acabamento, a ergonomia é muito boa e relativamente leve. Além disso é um equipamento versátil, mesmo com uma agulha fina, faz traços finos e mais grossos com desenvoltura. Uma vantagem da Badger é que tem várias peças intercambiáveis com outros modelos da marca, onde voce pode ter um aerógrafo para diversos trabalhos.
Finally, I can't not recommend the Badger 100G, after all it is a classic, it has a good finish, the ergonomics are very good and relatively light. Besides, it is a versatile equipment, even with a fine needle, it makes fine and thicker lines with ease. An advantage of Badger is that it has several interchangeable parts with other models of the brand, so you can have only one airbrush for many diferent works.
