WIP: Komet Airfield Diorama 1/72 Parte 1

Olá leitores! Hello!

Começando mais uma montagem com uma reforma do kit do Messerschmitt Me 163B da Academy na escala 1/72. Mas além do avião, vou fazer um pequeno diorama representando uma base da Luftwaffe no final da guerra. Tudo isso para recuperar esse kit que tenho faz mais de 10 anos!
Starting another build with a makeover of the Academy's Messerschmitt Me 163B kit in 1/72 scale. But in addition to the plane, I'm going to make a small diorama representing a Luftwaffe airfield at the end of the war. All this to recover this kit that I have had for over 10 years!

Minha ideia é fazer algo parecido com esses dioramas que estamos vendo aqui, tendo o jato como personagem principal, o característico Scheuchslepper (o trator especial que puxava esse avião), algumas figuras e um caminhão tanque Opel Blitz.
My idea is to do something similar to these dioramas that we are seeing here, with the jet as the main character, the characteristic Scheuchslepper (the special tractor that pulled this plane), some figures and an Opel Blitz fuel truck.

Alguns exemplos de ideias semelhantes podem ser facilmente encontradas na internet, como esses destacados (veja os links no fim do post). Afinal, a operação deste avião era bem específica e perigosa.
Some examples of similar ideas can easily be found on the internet, such as those highlighted (see links at the end of the post). After all, the operation of this plane was very specific and dangerous.

Como se vê nos videos abaixo a operação do Komet era algo completamente diferente de tudo que já tinha sido feito até então. A começar pelo sistema de propulsão à foguete e seu combustível altamente inflamável que causou vários acidentes.

As you can see in the videos below, the Komet operation was something completely different from anything that had been done so far. Starting with the rocket propulsion system and its highly flammable fuel that caused several accidents.

Se isso já não bastasse, o aparelho era altamente sofisticado, difícil de decolar, extremamente rápido e com alcance muito limitado. Na verdade, depois que o combustível acabava no ar o piloto deveria voltar até a base planando!
If that weren't enough, the plane was highly sophisticated, difficult to take off, extremely fast and with very limited range. In fact, after the fuel ran out in the air, the pilot should return to the base gliding!

O Komet é um assunto muito interessante e por isso é muito procurado pelos modelistas, tendo vários kits disponíveis em todas as escalas mais comuns.
Komet is a very interesting subject and for this reason it is very popular with modelers, with several kits available on all the most common scales.

Para começar o diorama optei por utilizar uma base de MDF pronta, destas que se encontra em lojas de artesanato. Protegi as áreas onde queria que o acabamento em madeira ficasse exposto e cobri a maior parte com massa acrílica para drywall. Resolvi colocar uma sarjeta em um dos lados do diorama, buscando imitar as bases aéreas onde o Komet operava. Essa parte foi feita com isopor.
To start the diorama I chose to use a ready-made MDF base. I protected the areas where I wanted the wood finish to be exposed and covered most of it with acrylic drywall putty. I decided to put a gutter on one side of the diorama, trying to imitate the airfields where Komet operated. This part was made with foam.

Depois da massa secar, lixei a mesma para obter o nível desejado, marquei as junções das placas de concreto e algumas rachaduras. Em seguida apliquei um primer cinza da AMMO, um pré shading em preto e cinza médio sobre toda a área.
After the putty dried, I sanded it to get the desired level, marked the joints of the concrete slabs and some cracks. Then I applied a gray primer from AMMO, a pre shading in black and medium gray over the entire area.

Agora vamos para os acabamentos e efeitos de weathering, começando com um tom marrom de terra para a área lateral da pista e o efeito de chipping usando o produto Chipping Effects da AMMO, utilizando um cinza mais claro sobre o cinza escuro.
Now we go to the finishing and weathering effects, starting with a brown earth tone for the side area of the track and the chipping effect using AMMO's Chipping Effects product, using a lighter gray over dark gray.

Depois passamos para o verniz para proteger o trabalho e um washing preto e marrom usando o Panel Line Wash da AMMO. Após, alguns respingos e sujeiras com Engine Fuel & Oil da AMMO e as marcas de pneus feitos com o Panel Line Wash preto.
Then we move on to the varnish to protect the work and a black and brown washing using AMMO's Panel Line Wash. After, some splashes and dirt with AMMO Engine Fuel & Oil and the tire tracks made with the black Panel Line Wash.

Por fim, adicionei a grama escala HO no canteiro, a grade sobre a sarjeta e um pouco de verniz brilho para simular áreas molhadas tendo em vista que as operações com o Komet sempre tinham emprego de água devido a volatilidade do combustível de foguete.
Finally, I added the HO scale grass, a grid over the gutter and a little gloss varnish to simulate wet areas as Komet operations always used water due to the volatility of rocket fuel.

Claro que para dar um "algo a mais" na cena precisei colocar uma vegetação, além da grama, e nesse caso fiz um pinheiro usando raízes e líquens.
Of course, to give "something more" to the scene I had to add vegetation, in addition to the grass, in which case I made a pine tree using natural roots and lichens.

Essa técnica para construção de vegetação é bem comum no Ferreomodelismo, e como se usa matéria prima orgânica, sempre deve-se usar o material bem seco e com um acabamento de tinta e verniz.
This technique for building vegetation is very common in model trains, and since organic raw material is used, you should always use it very dry and with a paint and varnish finish.

Para finalizar a base, pintei a moldura de marrom, com acabamento de verniz brilho. O restante da cena recebeu uma camada de verniz fosco.
To finish the base, I painted the frame in brown, with a gloss varnish finish. The rest of the scene received a layer of matte varnish.
